Prim and Whimsy Girls

I am part of a fantastic group on eBay called Prim and Whimsy Girls. We are doing an official group launch March 1st through the 15th, search PWGL on ebay for our newest offerings. You can also check out our group BLOG

Since we are an eclectic group of both Primitive and Whimsical Artists, we decided to do a topsy turvy event, Our primitive artists will try something fun and whimsical (glitter anyone?) , and our Whimsical artists will do something ultra primitive (get out that tea stain). It will be so fun to see what is created by this talented group.

My First one finished

Well, my first attempt. I have to say that making this crown was a very enjoyable experience . Admittedly, it was a bit more labor intensive then I thought it would be, I had to basically design and build the base crown from scratch, but it was worth it because once I was finished with that it was all about the embellishments!

This crown is full size and completely wearable, lined with a vintage silver cotton trim, for those days that you want to look eccentric (wear it with a bath robe while you check the mail) It will also make a fabulous centerpiece to your whimsical Folk Art decor.

Well….

I found out this morning that Jake and I are expecting our FIFTH child. Yes, this is a major surprise and yes, lol, I know how it happens. Quite a shocker, I must say. I would love your prayers, I deeply trust in the Lord, and know this is a blessing, I am just surprised, lol

I have a new obsession!

I received this book recently and I am entirely smitten. Guess what new kind of whimsies you will be seeing from me? Crowns & Tiaras. It seems that I have stumbled into a dream world of sparkly pretties and I think I will stay here for a spell. I have accumulated some beautiful enchantments to help me along the way, Dresden trims, silver German glass glitter, victorian paper scraps and a few other vintage trims to make the magic come alive. As soon as I am finished, I would love your opinions on the finished pieces, so please check back for pictures. Also, check out this beautifully done book wherever books are sold. You can pick up the basic instructions inside, and then add your own unique style to reflect your inner Princess. After all, that is what art is about.

1) I was married at eighteen to my highschool sweetheart, and we are still going strong, stronger in fact
